The FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Foundation, sponsores an annual Robotics Competition.

JETS, The Junior Engineering and Technical Society has its national competition every March. For the past decade, Stuyvesant has been one of the top ten schools in the Northeast division.
The Model Bridge Building competition, which has traditionally been a Technology Education/JETS activity, has been recently opened to Science and the Science and Technology Education Departments will be cooperating in student training activities.

Youth Video Festival Competition
$5000 scholarships and an in-depth film/video workshop for semi-finalists at N.Y.U. Tish School of the Arts. Finalists have the opportunity to work under the mentorship of professional videomakers, editors, sound engineers and other film professionals to bring their visions to reality. Winners have their films broadcast on Showtime.
