Who should take this course?
Students should have a minimum overall average of 92% and a minimum Physics average of 92%.
What will we be studying?
Fall Term: Mechanics and Thermodynamics
Spring Term: Electricity and Magnetism, Quantum Theory and Relativity
What will be expected of me?
A minimum of 45 minutes of study every day.
How is the course taught?
Lecture and recitation with demonstrations.
What are the completion requirements?
A passing average on all tests
Are there any special demands, costs, etc?
Some moderate costs may be associated with this course.
Details and pre/co-requisites:
AP Physics B is a double-period, one-year course that is scheduled as AP Physics 1 in the fall term and AP Physics 2 in the spring term. If you enroll in AP Physics 1 in the fall term, you will automatically be programmed for AP Physics 2 in the spring term. Students must commit themselves to completing the entire year and take the AP exam (there are no exceptions).
